Submit an OPRA (Open Public Records Act) Request

The State of New Jersey’s Open Public Records Act (N.J.S.A. 47:1-A et seq.), established a process for citizens to make formal requests for government records. The Act defines what a government record is and the mechanism and time frame for requests. Requests must be in writing, hand delivered, mailed or transmitted electronically. Verbal requests will not be honored.

In order to request access to government records under the Open Public Records Act from the Linden Roselle Sewerage Authority, please click on this link to download a copy of the Authority’s Record Request Form. You must complete all the required sections.

Requests can be mailed to P.O. Box 4118, Linden, NJ 07036, Attn: Custodian of Records or hand delivered Monday through Friday, excluding holidays, between the hours of 8:30 am until 4:00 pm. They may also be faxed to (908) 474-8685 or emailed to the Custodian of Records.

Job Description

Current opening for Laboratory Technician. Laboratory is NJDEP certified to analyze 25+ parameters. Position will entail analyzing wastewater & sludge samples for inorganic, microbiological, & metals testing. Responsible for conducting analyses according to standard operating procedures (SOP’s), quality control protocol, and EPA/Standard Methods protocols.

Parameters include Ammonia, BOD, COD, solids, Fecal coliform, Cyanide, Oil &Grease, Phenols, Sulfides, pH, Dissolved Oxygen, Chlorine and Metals. Required to operate & maintain laboratory instrumentation & equipment, including troubleshooting & calibration checks. Prepare chemical reagents & solutions & microbiological media for analysis. Preserve & handle samples in accordance to protocol & fill out & maintain chain of custodies. Perform & report calculated sample results & complete data entry into computer.

Qualifications

A.S. degree in Chemistry, Biology or Environmental Science with 3 years experience in a wastewater laboratory or B.S. degree in Chemistry, Biology, or Environmental Science with 1 year experience in a wastewater laboratory. Consideration given to residents of the City of Linden and the Borough of Roselle. 

Sewer Bill Adjustment Application

Applications for 2022 Sewer Bill adjustments are now available for City of Linden customers. Applications will be reviewed and adjustments will be made after an analysis of seasonal water usage. Adjustment Applications will not be processed prior to payment of the Sewer Bill in full. Click here to download the sewer bill adjustment application. The final due date for Application submission is October 15, 2022. No exceptions will be made. Then, please fill out the application completely and mail it to: Linden Roselle Sewerage Authority, PO Box 4118, Linden, New Jersey  07036-8118.

Grace Period Extended

The Grace Period for Payment of 2020 Sewer Bills for residents of the City of Linden has been extended.

  • 1st Payment Due Date of 6/30/20 is extended to 7/31/20. 
  • 2nd Payment Due Date of 9/30/20 is extended to 10/30/20.         

Please note that it is the grace period that is extended. Any payments received after the 7/31/20 and 10/30/20 due dates will be subject to interest back to 6/30/20 and 9/30/20 respectively.
