Notice RE Bid for Furnishing and Delivering Dry Polymer for Gravity Belt Thickening of Sludge for a two (2) year period.

Notice is hereby given that sealed bids will be received by the Executive Director of the Linden Roselle Sewerage Authority in the Administrative Office, 5005 South Wood Avenue, P.O. Box 4118, Linden, New Jersey 07036, on or before July 18, 2024 at 9:30 A.M. at which time they will be publicly opened.

Furnishing and Delivering Dry Polymer for Gravity Belt Thickening of Sludge for a two (2) year period.

Prior to bid submission, each bidder may schedule an appointment to perform bench testing with samples of the sludge material. The testing is not mandatory and is at the option of the bidder and is not required in order to submit a bid. To schedule and participate in the testing, bidders must contact Mr. David Walsh, Operations Manager, at 908-862-7100 or via email here, no later than July 8, 2024. Testing will be conducted through July 15, 2024. No tests will be scheduled after the July 15, 2024 cutoff date.

Specifications and instructions to bidders may be examined and obtained at the Office of the Linden Roselle Sewerage Authority, 5005 South Wood Avenue, Linden, New Jersey during regular business hours, 8:30 am. until 4:00 pm. Specifications and instructions to bidders may also be obtained by downloading directly from the Authority’s website here, or by contacting the Authority at 908-862-7100.

Bids must be submitted on the Bid Proposal Form furnished by the Authority. All bids must be received enclosed in a sealed envelope, bearing the name of the bidder and clearly labeled “Bid for Furnishing and Delivering Dry Polymer” on the outside of the envelope. Bidder is solely responsible for the timely delivery of the bid proposal and no bids shall be considered which are presented after the public call for receipt of bids.

All bids must be accompanied by a certified check, cashier’s check or acceptable bid bond in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the amount of the bid, made payable to the Linden Roselle Sewerage Authority, but in no case to exceed $20,000.00. Said checks or bonds will be returned to the unsuccessful bidder(s) as prescribed by law.

The Authority reserves the right to consider the bids for sixty (60) days after receipt and to reject any and all bids and to waive any irregularities or informalities in the bid if deemed to be in the best interest of the Linden Roselle Sewerage Authority.

Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq. and N.J.A.C. 17:27.

Notice RE Request for Proposals (RFP) to Provide Maintenance and Extended Warranty Support Services for APGN-NEUROS Blowers

The Linden Roselle Sewerage Authority is seeking proposals to provide Maintenance and Extended Warranty Support Services for three (3) AFG Neuros Blowers and six (6) blower cores for the period commencing June 1, 2024 through May 31, 2025, with an additional two 2) one year period renewal options.

Sealed responses to the request are required to be submitted to the Linden Roselle Sewerage Authority, 5005 South Wood Avenue, PO Box 4118, Linden, NJ 07036 on or before May 21, 2024, at 9am, at which time they will be publicly opened and read aloud. Proposals may be hand delivered or mailed. The envelope containing the proposal shall bear the name and address of the proposer and the words “RFP for Maintenance Services” on the outside of the sealed envelope. The respondent is solely responsible for the timely delivery of the proposal and no proposals shall be considered which are presented after the public call for receipt.

Such services are exempt from the public bidding requirements of the Local Public Contracts Law, N.J.S.A. 40A:11-1 et seq.

Notice is hereby given that in accordance with N.J.S.A.19:44a-20.4 et seq., the Linden Roselle Sewerage Authority is soliciting proposals through a fair and open process for the following Professional Service in 2023-2024:

Accounting (Auditing) Services to include performance of Annual Audit and a Wastewater Treatment Trust Single Audit Report if needed. Consulting services of a technical/advisory nature relating to various accounting, financial and budgetary matters may also be required on an as needed basis.

  • Question: Additionally, no load data has been provided, potential points of interconnection or even where you are interested in locating the solar assets.  
  • Answer
    • Currently, we are only seeking qualifications. A complete proposal is not required.
    • The solar assets will not be located on LRSA property. Additionally, LRSA has no agreements with any neighboring properties to locate solar assets. We are seeking to get into a Power Purchase Agreement with developers/vendors who can produce and/or supply solar power through agreements that they have or can procure with adjacent property owners in the vicinity of LRSA.
  • Question: In reference to the RFQ for Renewable Energy Procurement Project, can you please clarify which location(s) the Sewerage Authority would allow solar to be built on?  And please provide clarity/details on which “adjacent property” that is under site control? 
    • Answer: LRSA does not have the room to accommodate solar assets on LRSA property. Additionally, LRSA does not own, or have site control agreements with adjacent property owners. LRSA is seeking to get into a Power Purchase Agreement with developers/vendors who possess solar assets (either owned or can procure solar assets through agreements with others) and can supply power to LRSA.
