Notice to Bidders. Sealed Bids for the Removal, Barge Transport and Disposal of Sludge will be received by the Linden Roselle Sewerage Authority at the Administrative Office, 5005 South Wood Avenue, Linden, New Jersey 07036 until 09:00 AM, prevailing time, on Tuesday, October 6, 2026, at which time and place bids will be publicly opened and read aloud.
Removal, Barge, Transport and Disposal of Sludge.
The work to be performed under this contract generally includes all work necessary in removing thickened anaerobically digested sludge produced by the LRSA treatment plant and transporting it to an authorized off-site location for disposal for a one-year period with two (2) one year period renewal options. Transportation will be by barge from the Authority’s Dock located on the Arthur Kill.

All bids must be submitted on the Bid Proposal Form provided by the Authority. Each bidder shall submit one (1) original and two (2) copies of the bid enclosed in a sealed envelope bearing the name and address of the bidder and the words, “Bid Proposal for Removal, Barge Transport and Disposal of Sludge” on the outside of the envelope.
Each Bid shall be submitted in accordance with the instructions to Bidders and shall be accompanied by a certified check, cashier’s check, or acceptable bid bond in the amount of ten (10%) percent of the amount of the bid, made payable to the Linden Roselle Sewerage Authority but in no case to exceed $20,000.00. Each Bid shall be furnished with a Consent of Surety meeting the requirements of NJSA 2A:44-143 et seq. for furnishing performance and payment bonds in the forms provided in the Contract Documents.
The Successful Bidder must furnish a one hundred (100%) Performance Bond and a (one hundred) 100% Payment Bond with a surety company acceptable to the Owner. Bidders may not withdraw their Bids for a period of sixty days after the actual date of the opening of the Bids.
Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq. and N.J.A.C. 17:27.
The Owner reserves the right to consider the bids for sixty (60) days after receipt and to reject any or all bids and to waive any irregularities or informalities in the bid if deemed to be in its best interest in accordance with New Jersey Local Public Contract Law, N.J.S.A. 40A:11-1 et. seq.
